Read it twice, then live with it for a week.

A plan is a starting point, not a set of instructions. Read it once for the big moves and once for the details. Then leave it alone for a few days and notice which ideas keep coming back to you.

The moves that stay in your head are the ones to start with. Everything else can wait, or change.

Three things to do in the first week

01  Move the big pieces first.
Sofa, table, bed. Once they are where the plan puts them, the room reads differently and the rest gets easier.
02  Clear one surface completely.
A shelf, a bench, a desk. Put back only what you used this week. Notice how much room that makes.
03  Add light before you add objects.
One lamp at the right height changes a corner more than any purchase. Try it before buying anything new.

Still not sure where to start? Send us a photo of the room as it is today and we will point you at the first move.
